Vintage Amethyst and Dimond Statement Ring, 18ct Yellow Gold

This is a delightful raw amethyst set in 18ct yellow gold circa 1968, designed to commemorate the moon land. The yellow gold mount is beautifully hand sculptured around a superb deep to light purple of the amethyst. The bedrock of the stone at its base show shades of grey, white and dull red - cornelian. The amethyst is hard to estimate in its unique diamond clawed setting.
